I began my sleep away camp journey when I was only 3 years old as the daughter of the camp nurse. I spent those early summer days roaming the camp’s grounds until I grew old enough to become an official camper. 

My family has been involved in sleepaway camp in one way or another as campers, counselors, and camp staff for generations. 

From my work in publishing, developing marketing campaigns, to my time as an agency client services director leading strategic partnerships and promotions, to helping my friends plan life events, to planning my son’s bar mitzvah, organizing has always come naturally to me.

It grounds me and I love grounding others in helping them to organize. 

When my oldest son started sleep away camp 4 years ago, I knew packing for him could make or break his summer.

Kids and teens need their comfort zone, whether that be their favorite pillow, or an extra fan, their favorite sneakers or blanket, these details are important. 

Both of my boys are now at sleepaway camp and I have mastered the packing to the point where my friends and family have enlisted me to do their packing and appreciate my supportive non-judgmental attitude and that’s how Perfectly Packed by Caren was born!
